Adelie Penguin
Sit anywhere along the coast of Antarctica and you will find yourself surrounded by these inquisitive creatures. Showing little fear of humans, Adelie penguins will often come up quite close, trying to figure out what you are.
Here, in the height of summer, the air temperature is a balmy 2 degrees centigrade, just right for these penguins to sun themselves between fishing expeditions in the nearby Southern Ocean.
