After the Icy Storm

A cold front had blown icy winds across the Victorian Alps near Mt Hotham. For most of the morning the landscape was wrapped in freezing fog, resulting in the these snow gums being encased in an ever growing shell of ice. As the fog lifted, the light turned into an eerie glow, almost surreal, and this colour photograph resulted which has all the hallmarks of a unique black and white image.
